If you’re noticing ongoing concerns with your child’s learning, attention, behavior, social development, or emotional functioning—or simply want to better understand why they’re struggling—an evaluation may provide helpful answers.

At Abilities Reimagined, evaluations are individualized to answer your specific questions. We look at the whole picture, including strengths, challenges, developmental and educational history, and current concerns. Our goal is to help you understand how your child learns, what may be getting in the way, and what support can help moving forward.

We evaluate children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2–25 for concerns including ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, learning differences, autism, anxiety, academic difficulties, and other developmental or educational concerns.

Not at all! You do not need a referral or a diagnosis—or even know which tests your child needs—to get started. Your Initial Consultation is designed to help us understand your concerns and determine what areas should be evaluated.

It starts with a one-hour virtual Initial Consultation, where we discuss your concerns, review relevant history, and develop an individualized testing plan. You’ll receive a final testing proposal and total cost before testing begins, and we’ll schedule your testing dates during the conference.

After testing, we analyze the results, prepare a comprehensive report, and meet for a Feedback Conference to review the findings and recommendations.

From your Initial Consultation, you can generally expect your completed evaluation results within approximately 4–6 weeks.

You’ll receive a comprehensive written report explaining your child’s strengths, areas of difficulty, evaluation findings, and individualized recommendations. When appropriate, the evaluation may also include diagnostic conclusions.

Not every evaluation results in a diagnosis—and that’s okay. An evaluation can still provide valuable insight into what is contributing to your child’s difficulties and what supports may help.

Yes. Evaluation findings and recommendations can provide helpful documentation when pursuing school-based supports, accommodations, or college accommodations. However, schools and colleges make their own eligibility and accommodation decisions, so an evaluation does not guarantee a particular service or accommodation.

Because every evaluation is individualized, the cost depends on the areas being assessed. Evaluations generally range from $1,600–$2,100, with an average cost of approximately $1,800.

We do not accept insurance.  We are an out of network provider for all insurance companies.  Upon request, we can provide a Superbill, which can be submitted to insurance for possible reimbursement. We do accept FSA & HSA Card Payments.  It is essential you contact your insurance company for any questions regarding coverage.

You’ll receive the exact recommended scope and total cost at your Intake Conference before testing begins, so you can make an informed decision about moving forward.

No! Parents, caregivers, young adults, schools, and other professionals can initiate the evaluation process.

If available, helpful records may include previous evaluation reports, report cards, IEP or 504 documents, intervention records, teacher information, or other relevant developmental or educational records. You do not need to have extensive records to get started.

Our scheduling calendar always shows the earliest available Intake Conference. We recommend planning ahead whenever possible, particularly when an evaluation is needed for a specific school or college deadline. If you are already scheduled and an earlier appointment becomes available, you may join our cancellation waitlist.

Abilities Reimagined specializes in psychoeducational and developmental evaluation and testing. We do not provide speech evaluations, occupational therapy evaluations, medical evaluations, or forensic/custody evaluations.

If your needs fall outside our scope, we’re happy to help point you toward an appropriate professional when possible.

Our role is to help you understand the results and know what to do next. When appropriate, we provide recommendations and referrals to our network of trusted professionals who can provide additional services such as therapy, tutoring, executive functioning support, speech-language services, or occupational therapy.

In cases where parents are separated or divorced, Abilities Reimagined requires written consent from both parents if they share medical decision-making authority before starting a psycho-educational evaluation. If one parent has sole medical decision-making rights, we require a copy of the court order confirming this before we can proceed with testing. Whenever possible, we encourage both parents to participate by providing input.

Yes, for families who have already scheduled an intake. If an earlier appointment becomes available, we can notify families on our waitlist. We do not maintain a waitlist for families who have not yet scheduled an intake.
