What We Do

Testing

Our practice is primarily focused on testing. We use a variety of tools like the WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WIAT-4, BASC-3, ADOS-2, CTOPP-2, etc. to evaluate for the following:

  • Learning disabilities (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, & Dysgraphia)
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Anxiety and/or depression
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Need for accommodations for the SAT, ACT, GRE, etc.
  • Fit for various private & independent schools (i.e., intellectual and/or academic achievement testing)
  • Giftedness

Not all assessment needs fall into one of the areas above. If you have a unique assessment need, please reach out. We will be glad to work with you to determine an appropriate testing plan.

Skills Groups & Counseling

At times, we offer small group and individual skills groups and individual counseling to work with children and teens to address anxiety, executive functioning deficits, social skills, and other skills related to school success.

Parent Consultation

We provide consultation to parents with children already identified as having a disability through document review. You may submit 504 or IEP documents to us for review and provide feedback. We will provide guidance on the appropriateness of services and guide you in the steps towards obtaining needed supports.

How We Are Different

Our experience isn’t limited to a clinical setting. We know what behaviors and learning difficulties look like in real-world settings like home and school. We provide you with much more than an evaluation. Expect to leave with a clear path forward that includes recommended community resources, therapies, and steps to receiving needed support at school.

We understand that every child is unique and requires a specialized approach to address their behavioral and academic difficulties. That’s why we stand out from the rest. We don’t just limit ourselves to a clinical setting; we have experience in real-world settings like home and school. Our evaluation process is not just about diagnosing your child’s condition. It’s also about providing you with a clear path forward that includes recommended community resources, therapies, and steps to receiving the necessary support at school.

We specialize in children and teens, focusing specifically on their behavioral and academic difficulties impacting them at home and school. Our goal is to ensure that you leave our clinic feeling equipped to be a knowledgeable and effective advocate for your child’s future academic and behavioral success.

Our evaluation findings are easy to understand and use. We discuss the available supports, such as special education, 504 plans, multi-tiered systems of support, private therapies, etc., in schools and the community. We guide you through the process of receiving these supports, so you feel confident in advocating for your child.

We take a whole-child view when developing our recommendations. We understand that a diagnosis can be important, but we know that each child is more than a diagnosis. Our recommendations incorporate everything we’ve learned about your child, so you leave our clinic with your questions answered and a clear path forward. We believe that medical intervention is a personal family choice, and we will recommend follow-up with your pediatrician if necessary. Our recommendations are not solely centered on medical intervention.

At our clinic, we are committed to providing a supportive, professional, and parent-friendly environment. Contact us today to schedule an appointment and take the first step towards your child’s academic and behavioral success.
